A superb mid-century teak sideboard by Sutcliffe of Todmorden, the celebrated Yorkshire furniture maker, dating to circa 1963. The original "Worth Crowing About" cockerel label remains intact — a mark of genuine British craftsmanship and a pleasing detail for the serious collector.
Generously proportioned at 183cm wide, the sideboard offers excellent storage across three central drawers with original brass ring pull handles, flanked by a cupboard to each side, each with an internal shelf. The top drawer retains its original green baize-lined cutlery insert, and the piece includes a removable serving tray — both charming period details that speak to the quality of original manufacture.
Rich, warm teak grain, elegantly tapered legs, and the clean lines of early 1960s British design make this a highly versatile piece — equally at home as a dining room sideboard, hallway statement, or media unit.
W: 183cm | D: 48cm | H: 81cm
Condition: Very good vintage condition commensurate with age. Solid structure throughout; drawers run smoothly.
