A rare and highly collectable piece of British military aviation history — a genuine RAF Tornado jet engine transit case, used to ship an IP Turbine Rotor for the Rolls-Royce RB199 engine to the Tornado Facility at RAF Marham, Kings Lynn. The RB199 was the turbofan engine that powered the iconic Panavia Tornado, one of Britain's most celebrated Cold War-era combat aircraft.
The case retains its original olive drab military finish, heavy-duty metal construction, D-ring lifting handles, and robust latch fasteners. Original stencilled markings, warning labels, and the Rolls-Royce shipping label are all present — adding exceptional provenance and authenticity. Includes the original flat metal pallet/base unit, also stencilled with original part and serial numbers.
